At The Summit Winery, we source our grapes from the finest growing regions worldwide, bringing together diverse varietals that showcase the best of international winemaking traditions. Grapes arrive from around the world
Our winemaking journey begins the moment the delivery trucks arrive at our doors, loaded with carefully selected grapes from distant vineyards. The first critical step you'll observe is our sorting process, where we meticulously separate and organize the grapes by variety and quality. Each grape type requires specific handling, and this initial sorting ensures that every varietal receives the precise treatment it needs to reach its full potential.

Next, you'll see our experienced crew spring into action with forklifts, carefully transporting the sorted grapes to our destemming area. This mechanized choreography is essential for maintaining efficiency while preserving the integrity of our precious fruit. The destemming process itself is where we separate the grape berries from their stems – a crucial step that affects the final wine's tannin structure and overall character.

As grapes are uploaded the winery team moves the red grapes into de-stemming machine. This is the first stage of making red wine.
Since we're featuring red grape varieties in this footage, you'll then witness the next phase of our red wine production: pumping the freshly destemmed fruit directly into our fermentation tanks. This is where the ancient alchemy of fermentation begins, as natural yeasts start converting the grape sugars into alcohol, beginning the transformation that will eventually yield our signature wines. During the next step as the red grapes are being de-stemmed, a pump is used to gently move the grapes along their journey. Once in the fermentation tank the magic of wine making begins!
